Virginia (McCracken) Michael, 94, of Greenfield, was welcomed to Heaven on November 8, 2018.

She was born on November 12,1923, in Indianapolis to Lowell B. and Elizabeth McCracken.

She was a graduate of Shortridge High School and business college, she married Charles D. Michael on October 3, 1942. They were married 48 years.

In addition to loving and caring for her family, she loved being outside and playing with her grandchildren and her dogs.  She loved to fish and she cleaned them, too. She was a great cook, which she also enjoyed doing.

Her time was generously shared with her church, especially singing in the choir. In addition, she also served on the Board of Directors for McCracken’s Telephone Answering Service. She and her husband were small business owners for many years.

Her strong faith in Christ carried her through the challenges and blessings in her life.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her son, Paul and her daughter Amy Martin.

Surviving is her daughter, Judy (Dennis) Roeder of Greenfield, six grand children, Jessica Roeder, Kessa (Grant) McNaught, Michael (Kim) Martin, Andrew (Kasey) Martin, Esther Michael and Ethan Michael, 6 great grand children and 10 nieces and nephews.

Ginny’s Memorial Service will be January 12, at Brookville Road Community Church. Visitation at 10:00 am. Service at 11:00. Burial was in Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis. Arrangements were made by Indiana Funeral Care.

In lieu of flowers, please make Memorial contributions to World Vision, P.O. Box 9716, Federal Way, WA 98063

Once again, I feel a loss for words. I care so deeply for yet another death in your family and the
pain death has already caused for all of you. I’ll not be at the services for health reasons.
I thank you all for the joy she truly gave us. She was a gift from God to all who knew her.
